Meet the Team

After completing a Bachelor of Medical Science at the University of New South Wales, Alice went on to study Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Melbourne. During her studies, she received various awards and prizes and was listed on the Dean’s List for academic achievement. Alice entered the dental field at just 18, working as a dental assistant where she found her true passion and calling in dentistry. 

Alice understands that seeing the dentist can be daunting, as a series of traumatic experiences as a child left her with severe dental anxiety for many years. This inspired her to build a dental space free from stress and judgment and to found a team of like-minded professionals who share her vision—to empower patients to not only achieve their healthiest, most confident smiles but to (maybe) even look forward to visiting us regularly as part of their important self-care.

Alice is passionate about all aspects of dentistry and has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics. She is an advocate for early orthodontics in young patients to address developing crowding and other bite issues. Alice has a deep appreciation for the many connections between the mouth and systemic health. As such, she takes a holistic approach to caring for her patients.

In order to provide her patients with the most cutting-edge treatment options, Alice prioritises continued education and has completed multiple postgraduate Mini-Residencies in implantology, orthodontics, and clear aligner therapy, including dual graduate diplomas through the College of London Dental School for clear aligners and orthodontics. This opportunity for continued learning as technology advances is just one of the many reasons she loves the profession she is in.

Outside the dental office, Alice maintains work-life balance by staying social and connected with her friends and family. She loves the outdoors and, in winter, can be found chasing the snow on her snowboard. An animal lover, she also enjoys going on adventures with her ball-obsessed cavoodle, Ollie.

Emily is the co-owner of Oaks Dental, and strives to be a dentist trusted to deliver exceptional quality and conservative dental treatment. She finds immense joy in creating and rebuilding healthy, functional and beautiful smiles! 

After graduating from the University of Sydney with honours in Psychology in 2009, Emily then completed a Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Melbourne in 2015. 

Emily has a special interest in orthopaedics and orthodontics, focusing on early intervention from a holistic approach. She has completed both a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Clear Aligners) from the City of London Dental School; and in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics with Jaume I University. 

Emily also provides dental care for sleep disordered breathing and temporo-mandibular disorders; enjoys restorative and cosmetic work; is compassionate about helping patients with dental phobia, special needs and intellectual disabilities; and is experienced working in aged care facilities. 

Emily is a big advocate of promoting oral health education and disease prevention, aiming to equip her patients with everything they need to know to keep their mouths happy and healthy in the long-term. 

Outside of Dentistry, you might catch Emily singing, playing her ukulele, and being in musical theatre! She also absolutely loves animals with a household of cats and chickens.
